This article lists the steps and some tips to help the OEM driver developer write an "uninstall" package that safely removes .inf files from the system. You have to have administrative credentials to complete these steps.

To remove .inf files, follow these steps:

Note :Microsoft recommends that you leave your driver files where they are, if possible, even after you remove your value added applications and .inf files. Other devices and drivers on the system may reference your driver and will stop functioning correctly if the driver files are removed.

  1. Retrieve the path and file name of your .inf file:
  • The .inf files are located in the %Windir%\Inf folder, and are accompanied by a system-maintained .pnf file with the same root name. When third-party drivers are installed correctly, the .inf is renamed to Oemxx.inf (where xx is a sequential number) to make sure that there are no name conflicts with drivers that are included with the product and with other third-party drivers. You can find the installed name of your driver by using the SetupCopyOEMInf function with the SP_COPY_REPLACEONLY flag and the full path name to your original .inf file (SetupCopyOEMInf is documented in the operating system SDK).
  • If the original .inf file has been moved, use the full path name to the new location of your .inf file. If the original .inf does not exist on the system, you have to enumerate all the Oemxx.inf files. In each one, check the Provider, DriverVer, Hardware IDs, and other properties to identify the .inf files that you must remove. There is code that does the enumeration and details retrieval in the FindCurrentDriver routine in Dump.cpp of the DevCon sample code (in the Windows Driver Development Kit under Src\Setup\Devcon).
  • You can also retrieve the Oemxx.inf name from the "InfPath" REG_SZ value under the associated device's driver key, before the device has been removed.
  • For Windows XP and later versions, use SetupDiBuildDriverInfoList with DeviceInstallParams.FlagsEx set to DI_FLAGSEX_INSTALLEDDRIVER to obtain details about the installed driver.
  • For Windows 2000, use SetupDiOpenDevRegKey to find the key.
2. Remove the .inf file and associated files.
  • On Windows XP and later operating systems, after you have the actual name of the .inf file in the \Inf folder, you can use SetupUninstallOEMInf to correctly remove it.
  • On Windows 2000, follow these steps:
  1. Enumerate all the devices and make sure that none are using your driver.
  2. Use DeleteFile to remove only the .pnf files from the %Windir%\Inf folder.
  3. Use DeleteFile to finally remove the .inf files from the %Windir%\Inf folder.

In the current scenarios Web mining is a technique that is widely using in the world. Many of the search engines like Google, msn, AOL, YAHOO and etc are using web mining techniques.

Web mining
- Web mining is the application of data mining techniques to discover patterns from the Web. According to analysis targets, web mining can be divided into three different types, which are Web usage mining, Web content mining and Web structure mining.

Web mining Pros and Cons

Pros
Web mining essentially has many advantages which makes this technology attractive to corporations including the government agencies. The predicting capability of the mining application can benefits the society by identifying criminal activities. The companies can understand the needs of the customer better and they can react to customer needs faster. The companies can find, attract and retain customers; they can save on production costs by utilizing the acquired insight of customer requirements. They can increase profitability by target pricing based on the profiles created. They can even find the customer who might default to a competitor the company will try to retain the customer by providing promotional offers to the specific customer, thus reducing the risk of losing a customer.
Cons
Web mining the technology itself doesn’t create issues, but this technology when used on data of personal nature might cause concerns. The most criticized ethical issue involving web mining is the invasion of privacy. Privacy is considered lost when information concerning an individual is obtained, used, or disseminated, especially if this occurs without their knowledge or consent. The obtained data will be analyzed, and clustered to form profiles; the data will be made anonymous before clustering so that no individual can be linked directly to a profile. But usually the group profiles are used as if they are personal profiles.

Why is the media here so negative?
Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse acknowledge them---Why?
We are the first in milk production.
We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.
We are the second largest producer of wheat.
We are the second largest producer of rice.
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit.

There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters.

I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.
In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime.

Why are we so NEGATIVE?

Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T. Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology.

Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation.

YOU say that our government is inefficient.
YOU say that our laws are too old.
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.
YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke,
The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination.
YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.

YOU say, say and say.. What do YOU do about it?
Take a person on his way to Singapore . Give him a name - YOURS. Give him aface - YOURS. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the roads or eat in the stores. YOU are as proud of their Underground links as they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 60) to drive through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road ) between 5 PM and 8 PM. YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status identity... In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU?

YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai .

YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in Jeddah .

YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at 10 pounds ( Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are billed to someone else.'

YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost.'

YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand.

Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still talking of the same YOU..

YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here in India ?

Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar , had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the
officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels? In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan . Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility.

We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin.

We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.

We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity.

This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related to women, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse?

It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system? What does a system consist of? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbor's, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU.

When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along & work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out
to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money.

Dear Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a greatdeal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am echoing J. F. Kennedy 's words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians.....

'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA
AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA
WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY'

Lets do what India needs from us.

Convince others to read this post instead of reading Jokes or junk post.

Thank you,

Today is 61st Independence Day celebration. For the first time , I have attended this celebration in my college life. For three years of my MCA life, I have never gone to attained or see the Independence Day or Republic Day celebration in my college. First time I attended and attended not as a student but I was there as a faculty. What are the scenarios of my college, according to that I have never accepted that type of celebration.

It was so great to see and participate in this celebration. Everywhere crowds looking so busy to prepare celebration. Some were busy in doing seating arrangement, some were busy to welcome guests and important peoples and some were busy to practice the performance which they are going to do. I was standing to see these in surprising way. Flag hosting done by Director of the college. After that National song was sang by each people. Every one standing straight and in discipline. NCC candidates were done excellent parade march. Cultural programs done in very colorful manner containing all colors of our country. Every one clapping to shown that, so I also clapped to show these programs. There were so many children sitting on floor and some were standing and fighting with each other to see the program because they are small and not able to see properly. I have felt in children that, they were so excited about this function. Those children came from near local schools and from slum areas. But excitements were present equally in each. After completion of cultural programs Director, Chairman of Board and some guest spoke their speech about Independence Day.

All were trying to remember only great peoples of India like Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi and etc but they forget to remember soldiers and freedom fighter of our country who are actual heroes to get freedom of our country. Ok, any way let’s continue, I got so bored to listen their speech because they took too much time to give their speech. May be some people were interested to listen but most of the people are not interested like children. I also not interested because by their speeches, they were trying to copy of politician. If we see logically, this type of celebration if celebrate in schools or colleges then we should give speech which should be relevant to the students. But here, they spoke about country, politician and politics in the college which doesn't mean for the students and the children who were present at that place.

At last, sweets were distributed among the peoples. Some were took 2-4 packets except one. That’s way, many of the children not got sweet packet. I felt so bad to show that. I took one packet from the volunteer and came back to my home.

Today, unfortunately I have to take C language class on behalf of another faculty. That faculty ( Mr. Amit Bhagat Sir) is my senior faculty of the Dept. I asked to him that "what topic is going on in the class..? "
He replied me that “function...”
I said “ok”.
I came back from his cabin and gone to take class. When I started to take class, I asked to students
“Do you know what function…is?”
They replied me in very innocent way that “when any party organized or celebrate in our family that is function..?
I ask again “Have you discuss function in previous class…?”
They replied me that “Yes...! “
I asked again that “I am asking about C language function...”
They replied me that “We are telling you same..!”
Then I have great laugh and trying to control because I am a faculty and as a faculty I should not do that in class.

I am feeling that how it’s difficult job to being a faculty.

The book "Q & A" inspired the Oscar-winning movie "Slumdog Millionaire," but what inspired Indian author Vikas Swarup to write the book?

'Delhi

Delhi children crowd around one of the "Hole in the Wall" computers.

Swarup says he took his cue from an experimental program giving impoverished children in India's capital Delhi unsupervised access to computers loaded with educational software.

The "Hole in the Wall" project discovered that youngsters were able to teach themselves to use the machines embedded in a wall in a poor neighborhood, offering new insights into the abilities of children's minds.

As in "Slumdog Millionaire" -- in which a poor Mumbai youth accumulates the knowledge needed to compete in a game show -- the disadvantaged Delhi children showed they had untapped potential. They displayed the curiosity and imagination to make use of the computer when given access and opportunity.

Among them, 12-year-old Rahul Tivari didn't know how to use a computer when he first saw the kiosk of five machines that suddenly appeared in his neighborhood six years ago.

"I don't have a computer," Tivari said. "I came here from the beginning and I learned by watching others."

Another, Shabanam, 9, is virtually glued to the keyboard whenever she gets a chance.

"There are very nice games in this thing," she says in her native Hindi, not fully realizing the program she calls a "game" is actually teaching her English.

Project co-founder Rajendra Pawar says he is proud of what has happened since the program started six years ago.

There are now 48 "Hole in the Wall" computer kiosks across Delhi and the program has spread across the country and into other parts of the world.

But Pawar says the project's organizers are still pushing for more in the name of free education for children.

"In 1999 there were more than a 100 million kids who were outside the school system," Pawar said. "We were trying to say can we push technology to do the role that a teacher does because these 100 million kids don't even have teachers."

Right now, the computers are hooked into monitoring devices so that scientists can watch and learn about the children's behavior.

They found that When kiosks are introduced to neighborhoods, children typically push and shove trying to get to the computer.

But a change in social behavior is swiftly apparent. The children begin to organize themselves so that everyone gets a chance to use the machines.

As with any new toy, there was great concern that the computers would be damaged, but the children seem to look after the machines without any prompting.

"They protect it because they know if it breaks they can't use it anymore," project co-founder Pawar said.

There is a technician the children can call if the computers malfunction and the machines are placed behind shutters overnight.

The scientists are now working on innovative ways to hook up the computers to give the children access to the Internet. They are expected to install software to restrict the children's access to questionable Web sites.

But their remain obstacles to the project, not least shortages of electricity and money, but with government funding help, it is moving forward.

As for the children who get free access to the computers seven days-a-week, eight hours-a-day, there is never enough time to learn.

Shabanam's eyes glow when she explains how much fun she is having on the computer. "I come here everyday, that's why I am happy."
